so do we have the Volta or not? i've seen it mentioned multiple times, but rothbury has yet to announce it on their site..

Yeah I saw that too. We can only hope they are added.If Umphrey's and Mars Volta get added it would make Rothbury my favorite line-up at a fest maybe ever.

My guess is that TMV simply asked to not be announced until they are able to finalize the rest of their spring/summer tour. They've been mentioned too many times for both Roth and Roo by too many different sources.
I'm praying TMV are there. If Battles were added, I think my head might explode.

That's one of the sources I'm referring too. They were also supposedly on the original lineup, but were quickly removed.

yea stuff i hear ya - one of the reasons we are spendin all our saved up money to goto coachella is Battles, they were supposed to be at langerado - them at rothbury would be more icing on the cake.,..but yea i opened the source code for the rothbury.com website and TMV are listed as an act...so i would say they are comin jus not announced yet

I hope they're there. The only time i got to see them was when they opened for the chili peppers and it didn't go very well. Most of the crowd i think just saw them as something in the way of them seeing RHCP. Long story short, the lead singer ended up telling all the people sitting down to go suck a d*ck.

Stuff......you stole the words out of my typing fingers. They will be there. They just haven't finalized their tour...and will announce the whole tour at once.
I'll admit it...I was a casual Mars Volta fan until my fannatic Volta fan friend took me with him to see a show about a month ago.
I have been addicted ever since.

This is probably the best lineup for me (besides roo 07) to ever see in my life. Im so excited to see the Volta live.
btw, drewphoria....you seem to know alot about this fest..my question to you is, are you involved in the production of Rothbury in any way?

if you go to roths website and click on the madison house logo @ the very bottom of the page it says volta WILL be there, ohhhh i cant wait

Being involved in the production of Rothbury is my lifes driving mission at this moment.
I live 30 miles from the festival and I know so much because I am obsessed with Rothbury. The coming of this festival may the best thing that has ever happened to me!!
I am going to go to Rothbury this week and try to get a job!!
As for being so certian about the Mars Volta...all you have to do is connect the dots. They are doing Roo and they were already on the Roth line-up once. I don't think they would have EVER been on the line-up...not even for 5 seconds...if they weren't going to be there.

so here is the cheesy truth. i have been really discouraged about living in this town. i love my job, my house,living 10 minutes from lake mi beaches and i have less than a year of grad school in Grand Rapids (WMU downtown), but nothing nothing nothing else going on in Muskegon. (in fact, i was unaware that any other headys were even in this area-where are you?)i was holding out for something to happen before i grad. grad. school.
rothfest might be that something. i am really hoping the boost to the local economy will keep me around.
initially the opening of Muskegon Brew. Co. was the thing that might have kept me around, rothfest is clearly way better than that prospect.
