 Rothbury 2008 Live Recordings Thread
« Thread Started on Jul 7, 2008, 9:18am »

This is a thread to post a link to all the concert recordings available out there in one place as they pop up (i.e. on DimeADozen, Archive, eTree, etc.)

(Keepin the first post updated for convenience)

*A bunch of posters are trying to get links for the shows on DimeADozen (requires a pain-in-the-a$$-to-get membership) posted on Free-trading sites. I will update the links to these shows as I see them by placing them right under the Dime posts

edit by cupcake:

please only post trader friendly artists and shows.

Looking most desperately for:

STS9
Sam Beam of Iron and Wine
Lotus (not very hopeful on this one, didn't see Mic's)
Primus
Modest Mouse

I saw mic's at all but Lotus so I think they SHOULD be out there.

Also did anyone see the guy in the Tripolee Domes on Friday night who was playing the strings that went up to the top of the domes, almost like a large guitar? Can't figure out who that guy was...

I think we all would appreciate any recordings of the late night sets, especially those from Crystal Method, DJ Bassnectar, Thievery Corporation, Kraak & Smaak, DJ Harry and whoever the guy was cutting records in the Sherwood Forest before Crystal Method Saturday night. BTW, who else caught the DJ in the woods there on Saturday? That was so sick, I was just stumbling through the forest and bam there's this dead end corner in the middle with a huge wooden symbol-structure in the air glowing purple with a DJ under it. He said to us, "If this doesn't get you going then I don't know what will." And then proceeded to rip it up.

I definately saw that dude. We actually stumbled across it the night before when we were OUT OF OUR HEADS but it was this little duo acoustic show, after walking through the little handmade garden that preceeded it. I have some short Vid's of both that guy and the DJ which I will post to YouTube later on, I'll let you know.

Just one of countless Surreal experiences at Rothbury which my brain is STILL trying to process. The top of which may be the fireworks..oh MAN

You're telling me. I miss Rothbury so bad already. I want to go back now!!! I wonder what kind of DVD set they will release? I hope it doesn't cost as much as the tickets did...

Here is the Bisco set, though the audio is ripped from the iClips webcast so it doesn't sound very good...
