Ticketing info was posted today! Tickets start at $199 and once those sell out they will be $249. Student tickets are $180 so hop on that if you can! Also they'll have a payment plan, I'm hopping on that wagon, for those of you who would like to not shell out $$ all at once. Also the payment plan doesn't add any additional cost, which is pretty killer considering most payment plans make you pay full price (which would be $285). Good luck on Thursday guys!

cool thanks this is my first year going to EF glad to hear. I have a cabin down the road from Rothbury and didnt want to have to stay and comeback everynight just for an hour of sleep heat I can deal with I go to Bonnaroo almost every year.
At first listen, I liked it. At second, I like it more. Now, I love it.
I read that DP isn't interested in touring much (bummer). They explained that the album took years to produce and IT is essentially what they want to share. Not a live experience. That's kind of interesting. But I'd REALLY like to dance to these tunes with a large audience.
That's exactly how I feel. This sucker is on permanent replay on my iPod.

Yeah, the line to enter the venue got a little nasty last year before SCI went on.
Shakin me down. Making me take my rage totem back to camp! Making me finish my cocktail! Yeaahh, but I didn't think you wanted me to empty the contents of MY backpack buddy. You be here all night. Oh, and you didn't even find that platypus pouch with yummy tequila rolled up inside my blanket that I held in my hand. Sshheeeet.

Also, anyone else getting original Rothbury vibes from this Fest? Maybe I'm just getting over excited.
Exactly what I thought when the rumors started flying around about it. Thats one of the main reasons I'm so pumped for this one. Seems like its channeling some Rothbury vibes.
Yes! I feel the same way even though I missed the first Rothbury. It's a similar stirring in similar circles.
The official website now says this:
"General Admission (GA) Camping is located in THE MEADOWS on the festival grounds at Oak Ridge Farm. Once you park your car in the camping area, it must not be moved for the entire length of the festival unless you are exiting the Festival."
Clarity, I have the same questions you do about camping options.

Anyone else wondering what it will be like with cicadas this year? This will be the first time they will breach the ground during EF, I'm hoping the forest floor isn't riddled with them. I would hate to get cicada guts on me every time I lay down.

Last year the RFIDs started causing major backups at the entrance at certain times. Makes for a dangerous crowding situation. They should either have alternate entrances or at least give the staff permission to "open up" the gates if the line gets too large.

Last 2 years, never had a problem with any bugs at EF. But this year in general, MI is supposed to have a terrible mosquito season due to the flooding from this spring. I hope JJ Ranch sprays to get rid of them.

Good find. I did some Google Earth stalking. I read that the venue would be in the racetrack, and there are a bunch of open fields around it where I assume camping will be. Some are pretty far away, though.
The site has options to camp by your car or park and camp wherever tent only. I really want to know where these different areas are. If car camping is super far away, but I can fill in wherever closer to the venue, I want to plan for that.

I have noticed lots of bugs at other festivals but never had a problem with them at EF. I think Clarity is right about them spraying before the fest, I don't even think I've ever noticed a single noticeable creepy crawly or mosquito. Not that I can remember at least.

We bought a can or two of OFF the last couple of years but have never once had to spray anywhere. You should be fine, but as Clairity said, better safe than sorry.

I have never worn any bug spray and have been fine. I think they spray before the Fest. I have heard if people camped by the highway having some bug problems, though. You better bring it just to be safe.

I was wondering how bad Bug/mosquitos are at EF I live in Mi and know how bad it can be in the woods at night I just dont want to over or under prepare.
Am I an idiot? When I click those links, I do not get pics if Panic. Actually, I get different images depending if I'm on my phone, my laptop, or my work computer.
It took me to Panic from Facebook the first time, though.
This weekend will be my first year at a Bella festival. I have heard many good things about it and it is only 45 minutes from my house. Line ups not bad either. Lots of jams. Check it out! Only $100 for a ticket!
some of the bigger names on the lineup
Railroad Earth The Bella Space Lab: Kraftwerk ReAmped (feat. members of Particle, Lotus, The Disco Biscuits, DJ Logic, & more)
EOTO Steve Kimock with special guest Bernie Worrell SAVOY Giant Panda Guerilla Dub Squad Papadosio The Werks ZOOGMA Tea Leaf Green 4 On The Floor Euforquestra Eliot Lipp Manic Focus Kinetix NEW REB Evergreen Grass Band SOAP GOD JOHNSON Jon Wayne and the Pain Heatbox
I would be surprised if there were any set breaks. I don't think they'll be given enough time to want one. I imagine they'll make the most of their time and play the whole time. If I'm correct no one besides cheese has taken a set break at EF since its creation.
I'm pretty sure STS9 had set breaks last year
You raise a valid point, I can't be sure though. I may have missed it when I was at Thievery Corporation and might just not remember a set break the 2nd night they played.

Re: All Good 2013 « Result #38 on May 20, 2013, 8:18am »
last year was my first All Good, so I can't really compare OH to WV... but the crowd seemed a little older and more mellowed out. Especially when compared to Electric Forest last year, but I'd say even compared to SummerCamp it was a little more laid back. But that's what happens anytime there's Dead-related bands on the lineup, the old Heads come out of the woodwork, so hopefully it will be the same this year with Furthur.
Not usually, though its possible some of the latenight shows might.

Still considering doing premium, just mrs. smoove and myself, but it's been years since we did a camping fest. Last time was the year MSTRKRFT blew out the sound system and STS9 gave up after a few minutes(?...maybe I imagined it).
How is the vibe at AllGood now that it's at Legend Valley??
Seemingly so much drama in WV, wondering how the move to Ohio affected the fest.

I think you're right, but there were a couple latenights at Rothbury Fest that had 2 sets, so I wouldn't be surprised. But yeah, its not likely.
“I don't see much sense in that," said Rabbit. "No," said Pooh humbly, "there isn't. But there was going to be when I began it. It's just that something happened to it along the way.”
Does anyone besides the "headliners" do a set break?
